At Touché, we believe that sustainable choices can coexist with indulgent luxury. That's why we have carefully curated our signature eucalyptus silk bedding made from TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres, derived sustainably from eucalyptus trees. With our eucalyptus silk, you can transform your bedroom into a haven of comfort, while also contributing to a more sustainable future.
Silk has long been celebrated for its exceptional skin, health, and beauty benefits. However, it comes with a significant environmental cost. Extensive research conducted by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition reveals that silk production has a more detrimental impact on the planet compared to many synthetic fabrics. Shockingly, PETA has exposed the cruel reality that for every kilogram of silk, approximately 6,600 silkworms are boiled or gassed alive during the production process.
We are proud to offer an ethical alternative to traditional silk through our vegan silk bedding. Crafted from TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres derived from sustainably harvested eucalyptus trees, our bedding embodies luxury without compromising our commitment to the planet.
The eucalyptus wood pulp used in creating our eucalyptus silk undergoes a closed-loop production process. This means that an impressive 99% percent of the water and solvent used during manufacturing is recovered and recycled repeatedly. By minimising waste and maximising resource efficiency, we ensure that our production methods have a minimal environmental impact.
The eucalyptus trees that provide the fibres for our fabric are cultivated in FSC certified forests. These forests adhere to rigorous environmental, social, and economic standards, ensuring responsible and sustainable management practices. Our eucalyptus forests are entirely organic and sustainably farmed, relying on the natural process of photosynthesis to grow the fibres. This approach ensures that our raw materials are sourced from renewable and eco-friendly wood.
Unlike other fabrics, our eucalyptus silk is naturally biodegradable. When you no longer need our bedding, it will seamlessly return to the earth, leaving no trace of harm behind. We believe in designing products that honour the circularity of nature, ensuring that our resources can be replenished without depleting the planet's natural balance.
We understand the importance of conserving energy and its impact on the environment. That's why we're proud to share that our fabric production process is designed to use 30% less energy than cotton. By implementing efficient techniques and harnessing renewable energy sources, we aim to reduce our reliance on finite resources and contribute to a more sustainable future.

Our fabric is dyed using AVITERA® SE dyes. These dyes significantly reduce water and energy consumption and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions during the dyeing and washing-off process. They improve productivity, reduce costs and deliver the highest level of light- and wet-fastness across the entire shade gamut and color spectrum. More importantly, they are free of para-chloro-aniline (PCA)* and other regulated chemicals.
We believe all life is equal and we don't have the right to use another living being for our luxury. We are proud to be a PETA certified, 100% vegan company. This certification guarantees that there are absolutely no ingredients originating from animals used in any part of our production process. The certification is awarded by the animal rights organisation People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
We only work with factories that respect their employees, pay living wages and provide a safe and fair place to work. Our manufacturing partners are independently audited through SEDEX. SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) is the most widely used social audit in the world. The sites are evaluated according to their organisation’s standards of labour, health and safety, environment and business ethics. Learn more about SEDEX certification here.
How
Our signature vegan silk is spun from TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres, sustainably harvested from eucalyptus trees. The wood pulp is treated in a closed-loop system, wherein 99% of the water and solvent used in production is recovered and reused, again and again. This extends the lifecycle of our resources and eliminates environmental waste.
Where
touché eucalyptus silk comes from eucalyptus farms around the world, grown in FSC-certified forests, meaning they are managed to strict environmental, social and economic standards. The eucalyptus forests are entirely organic and sustainably farmed, using fibres grown by photosynthesis, sourced from renewable wood.
Why
The eucalyptus fibres used to create beautiful TENCEL™ Lyocell is considerably more eco-friendly than many fabrics, and it is naturally biodegradable, becoming one with nature when no longer in use. At touché, we value a sustainable lifestyle, and we vow to always provide the best in ethical, earth-friendly luxury.

touché vegan silk is spun from the fibres of eucalyptus pulp, sustainably sourced from renewable forests.
Our fabric is crafted through a zero-waste, closed-loop process, that recycles up to 99% of water and safe solvents used. touché vegan silk is biodegradable and compostable.
touché vegan silk bedding is naturally hypoallergenic and hygienic, as the eucalyptus fibres are resistant to build up of mould, bacteria and dust mites.
Our eucalyptus fabric has been tested and proven to be 2 x softer than cotton, all while being durable and long-lasting. touché vegan silk is naturally smooth and has a sleek sheen for a luxurious look and feel.
Eucalyptus is naturally antibacterial meaning it prevents bacteria growth which can clog pores and cause breakouts. The smooth surface also helps prevent wrinkles by reducing the friction from tossing and turning during your sleep that causes creases in the skin.
3 x more breathable than cotton, our vegan silk fabric allows heat and moisture to escape, keeping you dry and comfortable all night long. Not only will you stay cool and comfortable, but the air-flow also helps to keep sensitive skin happy.
Naturally temperature regulating, the structure of the eucalyptus fibres allows them to absorb and release excess moisture, keeping you cool and dry throughout the night.

Traditional silk tends to yellow with time, and shows moisture spots due to its high absorbency. Vegan silk is extremely durable, becoming softer and more beautiful with each wash.
According to the Higg Index, silk has by far the worst impact on the environment of any textile, including polyester, viscose/rayon, and lyocell. It’s worse than the much-demonized cotton, using more fresh water, causing more water pollution, and emitting more greenhouse gases.
On top of this, at least 420 billion silkworms are killed annually during the production of silk generally due to disease and pests in industrial farming.
